PGxAlly is committed to making our website usable for as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. We believe access to information about medication optimization should not depend on how someone reads, navigates, or interacts with a page.

Our approach

We aim to align this website with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. Those guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, cognitive, motor, and neurological disabilities.

What we have done

Steps we have taken on this site include:

  • Using semantic page structure and headings so screen readers can navigate content in a logical order
  • Providing text labels for form fields, with clear error messages that identify what needs to be fixed
  • Aiming for color contrast that supports readability, and not relying on color alone to convey meaning
  • Supporting keyboard navigation for links, buttons, and form controls
  • Using responsive layouts that work across screen sizes and support browser zoom
  • Respecting the reduced motion setting for people who prefer minimal animation
  • Writing in plain, direct language wherever we can

Ongoing work

Accessibility is not a one time project. We review the site as we add and change content, and we work to correct issues we find. Some content may not yet fully meet every guideline, and third party components we rely on, such as bot protection on our contact form, are outside our direct control.
